Senior Cyber Security Advisor

About the Role

Join a large multinational organization based in Hyderabad as a Senior Cyber Security Advisor, where you will lead advanced security initiatives and drive improvements in adversary detection and simulation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee intricate technical evaluations such as Purple Team exercises along with other security testing activities.
• Conduct focused offensive security engagements aimed at enhancing detection mechanisms and telemetry sophistication.
• Work closely with Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, and Security Engineering teams to bolster security defenses.
• Innovate and implement new methods to strengthen adversary simulation programs and elevate overall cyber security maturity.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal personnel on secure system architecture, detection strategies, and analysis of adversarial behaviors.
• Execute sophisticated adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures throughout all stages of the cyber kill chain.
• Develop and manage adversary emulation drills grounded in frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and tailored threat models.
• Compile detailed security assessment documentation and convey complex technical insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-domain teams to tackle emerging cyber security challenges.
• Remain current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and offensive security practices.
• Coach and support junior security team members to build expertise.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient knowledge in Cyber Threat Intelligence and comprehensive threat analysis.
• Practical experience conducting Red Team operations and offensive security evaluations.
• Understanding of threat hunting and detection techniques.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and security monitoring tools like Splunk.
• In-depth knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Skilled in scripting languages including Python, Bash Shell, and PowerShell.
• Programming experience in C or C++ is a valuable asset.
• Expertise in adversary simulation, threat modeling, and detection engineering.
• Acquainted with Agile methodologies and security operations workflows.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Educational Background and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant fields, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred certifications include OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, GXPN, CRTO, or other similar security credentials.
