Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Consultant, you will lead a focused and dynamic engineering pod aiming to migrate AWS Lambda applications to Azure cloud environments. The position prioritizes designing and maintaining the support frameworks, constraints, and feedback mechanisms that empower autonomous coding agents—rather than directly writing code. Responsibilities include ownership of critical scaffolding systems, defining detailed technical specifications, and enforcing architectural principles to ensure agent-generated code remains reliable and coherent. This role functions both as a technical leader and an active contributor, dedicating about 70% of efforts to harness-building and 30% to team guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the claude_code_forge scaffolding encompassing repository organization, CLAUDE.md specification templates, agent creation, MCP tool configurations, and development of customized command shortcuts.
- Strategically break down the AWS environment into detailed migration work packages with explicit acceptance criteria, enabling agent validation.
- Implement automated enforcement of architectural standards through mechanisms such as structural testing, linting configurations, and dependency layering checks rather than relying solely on documentation.
- Conduct regular entropy reduction activities by employing background tasks to preserve codebase consistency and integrity.
- Provide mentorship to engineering team members on topics such as prompt-driven test-driven development (TDD), managing multiple agent interactions, and leveraging Claude Desktop and Cowork platforms effectively.
- Communicate progress metrics including migration speed, agent utilization rates, and potential risks to project stakeholders.
Required Experience and Skills
- Between 8 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing delivery teams.
- Comprehensive expertise in serverless computing environments on AWS and Azure, specifically migrating services such as Lambda to Azure Functions, DynamoDB to Cosmos DB, and AWS Step Functions to Durable Functions.
- Practical, hands-on knowledge with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Cowork tools.
- Proven ability in developing developer tooling, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, or work within platform engineering contexts.
Additional Information
The position reports directly to the Head of Engineering or Programme Director. The role supports a remote or hybrid working arrangement based in Andhra Pradesh, India, aligned with the Cloud Migration Practice function.
