About the Role

Join NVIDIA as a CPU Compiler Engineer to work on advanced compilers powering NVIDIA's CPUs designed for leading AI and High Performance Computing (HPC) workloads worldwide. The compiler team impacts every chip NVIDIA creates, including CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, and SoCs. This position involves creating, refining, and enhancing the GNU Toolchain for NVIDIA's Grace CPUs, critical for delivering optimal performance on cloud, data center, and supercomputing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a distributed team to improve and evolve NVIDIA's CPU compiler software.
  • Introduce new features and optimization strategies targeting NVIDIA Grace CPUs while engaging with open source communities.
  • Develop high-performance compiler software tailored to AI, HPC, and data center technologies.
  • Participate in efforts influencing the development of future CPU microarchitectures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 12 years of professional compiler development experience in production settings.
  • Strong understanding of compiler components including language front-ends, optimization methods, and code generation.
  • Proficient hands-on skills in C++ programming.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CPU architectures like ARM (AArch32, AArch64), RISC-V, x86_64, PowerPC, or DSPs, especially in pre-silicon compiler and toolchain development.
  • Familiarity with standard compiler infrastructures like GNU Toolchain and LLVM.
  • Knowledge of AI algorithms, scientific HPC applications, and related performance optimizations.
  • Contributions to open source compiler projects and communities.
