Role Overview
The Senior Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in acquiring new clients within strategic sectors by leading outbound sales initiatives. This position demands experience navigating complex sales cycles, fostering strong relationships with decision-makers, and consistently surpassing targets. Additionally, you will mentor junior BDRs, helping them develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify high-potential prospects in mid-market and enterprise sectors proactively.
- Design and implement targeted outbound campaigns using multiple channels such as phone, email, and social media to generate qualified sales opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth discovery conversations to comprehend intricate business challenges and align Deputy’s offerings with these needs.
- Utilize marketing materials including case studies, white papers, and presentations to boost engagement and speed up the sales process.
- Manage high-volume sales inquiries, focusing primarily (90%) on outbound outreach via telephone.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect information and communications within Salesforce CRM.
- Keep informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and changing market dynamics to continuously optimize prospecting tactics.
- Analyze sales datasets to identify opportunities for enhancing pipeline quality and conversion outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices and contributing to their skill development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated success in outbound sales, particularly targeting mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Proficiency in devising and executing strategic outbound account plans and prospecting methodologies.
- Excellent rapport-building skills, especially with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
- Strong ethical standards, resilience, and adaptability to startup environments.
- Experience in effectively qualifying prospects and communicating insights to Account Executives.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on process and continuous improvement.
- Growth-oriented attitude emphasizing ongoing learning and goal achievement.
- Collaborative team player prioritizing collective success.
- Outstanding telephone presence and interpersonal communication skills enabling swift relationship development.
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, dynamic work settings.
- Proven history of exceeding measurable sales targets consistently.

- Relevant experience in hospitality, retail, or healthcare sectors is beneficial.
