Role Overview

The Senior Barista at GAG Coffee in Vadodara is a full-time, on-site professional responsible for consistently delivering premium coffee and an outstanding café experience. The position involves preparing specialty coffees and beverages to meet brand standards, managing food preparation tasks, and ensuring cleanliness and safety in both the coffee preparation and customer seating areas.

Key Duties

• Prepare espresso shots, milk steaming, and other specialty drinks with precision.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in food handling and café environment.
• Lead and mentor junior baristas, guiding them in daily operations.
• Support inventory management by assisting with stock checks.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment responsibly to ensure longevity and quality.
• Engage courteously with customers, addressing inquiries about menu items.
• Handle order processing and payment transactions efficiently.
• Create and sustain a warm, inviting atmosphere that aligns with GAG Coffee's brand values.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated barista expertise including espresso extraction and specialty beverage crafting.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities enabling excellent guest interactions even during busy periods.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with coworkers and interact with customers.
• Experience in food preparation maintaining hygiene and consistency.
• Prior work experience in a café environment, preferably in a senior or supervisory barista role.
• Willingness and stamina to work flexible schedules standing for long durations in a dynamic setting.
• Familiarity with cash handling and POS systems.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning about coffee provenance, brewing techniques, and menu knowledge to enhance customer guidance.
