About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Associate to join our Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) team at the Cambridge office. This role offers a great opportunity to take ownership of projects and contribute towards the growth of this essential service. You'll work within a modern, conveniently located office environment, being part of a team engaged in projects across education, life sciences, infrastructure, defence, residential, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Cost Management and Quantity Surveying services across a wide variety of projects.
  • Manage project delivery from inception through to completion.
  • Support activities before and after contract award including cost planning, procurement, and reporting tasks.
  • Administer contracts such as NEC and JCT, overseeing commercial processes.
  • Develop strong partnerships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Contribute actively to the performance and expansion of the Cambridge team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is dependable and proactive, delivering quality outputs and confidently managing projects. A positive attitude and ambition to take on more responsibility and grow within the team are essential. Building confidence in client engagement and playing a larger role are key aspects of this position.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying in a consultancy setting.
  • Strong technical expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract project phases.
  • Familiarity with NEC and JCT contract administration.
  • Capability to independently manage projects and assume increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • MRICS qualification or working towards it.
