About the Role
Join the dynamic team at Queenstown Lakes District Council in New Zealand's stunning environment as a Senior Application Support Analyst. This full-time, permanent position based in Queenstown involves working within the Corporate Service directorate's Knowledge Management team to provide advanced application support and delivery for the council's critical business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver senior-level technical support for TechnologyOne and other essential Council business applications, ensuring system stability, security, and suitability.
- Lead complex technical issue investigations and work alongside vendors and stakeholders to find effective solutions.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, module implementations, and business process improvements organisation-wide.
- Communicate technical details clearly to varied audiences, including non-technical personnel, and create accurate system documentation.
- Act as a mentor within the Business Systems team, training staff on scoping, structuring, delivering, and completing work packages.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise, assist with implementation, testing, and coordinate delivery efforts.
- Maintain and develop consistent documentation, standards, support procedures, and knowledge bases to enhance service quality.
- Identify and propose improvements in applications, system integrations, reporting, and team processes to foster continuous enhancement.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a relevant IT, Information Systems, or related tertiary qualification.
- Minimum five years’ experience in supporting and optimizing enterprise business applications or business systems.
- Solid experience with troubleshooting methodologies and complex issue resolution over at least five years.
- Proficient or knowledgeable in SQL, system integrations, automation, workflows, and reporting technologies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity or experience with TechnologyOne products is highly advantageous.
- Permanent work rights in New Zealand or eligibility to work for at least two years are preferred for project continuity.
