Job description
About Ollive
Ollive is pioneering insurance solutions for unique risks associated with AI agents making errors that can lead to tangible financial losses. Since there is little historical loss data and no standard rating frameworks for such risks, Ollive is assembling its first dedicated actuarial team to address these challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an AI liability pricing model from the ground up.
- Identify appropriate exposure measures, rating variables, and assumptions regarding event frequency and severity.
- Leverage actuarial data from related insurance sectors such as cyber liability, technology errors and omissions, professional liability, and medical malpractice to create surrogate data models.
- Collaborate closely with reinsurers and capacity providers to refine and enhance pricing methodologies.
- Translate actuarial models into practical pricing and underwriting frameworks integrated into the insurance product.
- Contribute to determining policy limits, exclusions, attachment points, and overall coverage designs.
- Establish procedures for ongoing claims monitoring and reserving as actual claims data becomes available.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 4 to 7 years of actuarial experience in General Insurance or Property & Casualty sectors.
- Qualified or nearing qualification, with preferred credentials including SP7 and/or SP8 plus CP1/CA1 actuarial exams.
- Demonstrated expertise in specialty pricing lines such as cyber, technology errors & omissions, professional liability, or healthcare liability is highly desirable.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R along with SQL proficiency.
- Comfortable making defendable actuarial assumptions with limited or incomplete data sets.
- Prior experience in building new insurance products, pricing models, or rating plans is an advantage.
Additional Information
This position is hands-on and integral to building the actuarial function at Ollive. Candidates will work directly with company founders and multidisciplinary teams and will have the opportunity to advance into actuarial leadership roles as the company grows.
