Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant passionate about the gaming sector to join our energetic team. This pivotal position entails overseeing financial activities across Singapore and international companies, ensuring precision, adherence to standards, and alignment with group policies. The role also involves enhancing financial reporting, optimizing systems, and collaborating internally to facilitate sound decision-making and process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold accounting standards compliant with local and global regulations for Singapore and overseas subsidiaries.
- Manage comprehensive accounting operations such as ledger preparation, report consolidation, and statutory submissions.
- Provide punctual and accurate financial reports for local and corporate requirements.
- Support integration of company accounts into the head office accounting system.
- Partner with IT teams to create and improve financial systems customized for overseas branches.
- Continuously refine financial procedures and rules to boost operational efficiency.
- Oversee financial tasks including tax filings and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Serve as a liaison ensuring finance practices meet international and local regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand financial needs and deliver data-driven insights supporting analysis and decision-making.
- Offer financial expertise contributing to strategic planning and business development.
- Perform additional assignments as delegated by management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; prior exposure to gaming or technology sectors strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, combining professional firm and internal corporate finance backgrounds.
- Competency in financial software including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools, SQL, and VBA is advantageous.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking partners.
- Excellent analytical and logical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments.
- Self-driven and resilient with a determined approach to professional advancement and career clarity.
- Well-versed in local and international financial reporting standards and taxation regulations.
