Security Officer (CCTV Operator)

Role Overview

Join our team as a Security Officer focusing on CCTV operations, where you'll contribute to maintaining a secure, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for guests, staff, visitors, and hotel assets. Your main duties involve monitoring the hotel's surveillance and security systems, reacting to incidents, and assisting the Security team to uphold excellent safety and service standards according to hotel policy.

Primary Duties

• Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, access control mechanisms, fire alarms, and other security devices to ensure thorough coverage of the property.
• Detect, investigate, and report any suspicious behavior, security breaches, hazards, or unusual events.
• Keep watch over public and private hotel areas including entrances, exits, and employee zones.
• Log and escalate incidents promptly following hotel protocols.
• Provide support during emergencies such as fires, medical crises, evacuations, and other security-related scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with other Security Officers, Duty Managers, and various departments in investigation and emergency response efforts.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of CCTV footage and security data in line with company and legal requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and report maintenance or faults.
• Maintain accurate records including logs, shift reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with managing access controls, monitoring visitors, controlling keys, and supervising contractors as needed.
• Support security efforts to prevent theft, fraud, and unauthorized entries.
• Deliver courteous and professional assistance to guests and colleagues while upholding customer service standards.
• Stay knowledgeable about hotel security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Engage in security trainings, drills, and continual improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of high school education or an equivalent credential.
• Experience in security operations or CCTV monitoring is advantageous.
• Understanding of CCTV technologies, surveillance tools, and security procedures.
• Basic proficiency with computers, able to generate reports and maintain documentation.
• Strong observation skills, analytical ability, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to stay composed and make prudent decisions in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Possession of any required local security or CCTV certifications or licenses.
