Position Summary

The role of Security Guard at Capitalbet Company Uganda is a full-time onsite position based in Kampala. The incumbent will oversee access points to authorize entry and exit, perform routine inspections ranging across the facility to identify potential security threats, and ensure protection of company assets. The role involves maintaining order during busy customer periods and responding efficiently and calmly to emergencies or incidents. Additionally, the Security Guard provides guidance to customers, imparts basic information, and contributes to fostering a safe yet welcoming setting. Compliance with established security policies, detailed incident documentation, and coordination with management as well as local enforcement agencies when necessary are fundamental duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in physical security measures such as surveillance, site patrol, and incident management
• Experience with private and personnel security aimed at safeguarding staff, clientele, and physical property
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for professional interaction with diverse groups
• Understanding of fundamental security protocols, emergency response procedures, and reporting requirements
• Additional assets include prior experience in security or law enforcement, stamina for prolonged standing, basic first aid capability, and knowledge of regional safety standards
• A minimum of secondary school completion or equivalent, fluency in English and local languages, along with a clean criminal record is preferred
