Job Overview
Comsons is seeking an experienced SDS2 Checker to join their team in Nashik, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of industry experience in steel detailing, focusing on SDS2 software for structural steel models, shop drawings, and erection plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify SDS2 steel models, shop drawings, and erection drawings critically.
- Confirm accuracy of dimensions, connections, member identifications, bolts, weld details, and material specifications.
- Ensure all drawings conform to project guidelines and follow AISC standards rigorously.
- Spot detailing inconsistencies and collaborate closely with detailers to implement necessary corrections.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections before submitting drawings to clients.
- Maintain delivery schedules without compromising the quality of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possess 2 to 3 years of proven experience as an SDS2 Checker.
- Demonstrate proficient hands-on expertise with SDS2 software.
- Sound understanding of structural steel detailing methods and fabrication workflows.
- Familiarity with AISC standards and US standards for steel detailing.
- Strong analytical capabilities complemented by effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience handling US structural steel detailing projects is advantageous.
