Scaffolding Inspector

Role Overview

This position is for a Scaffolding Inspector based onsite during a shutdown period in Barmer, Rajasthan. The inspector is responsible for conducting daily evaluations of scaffolding structures to ensure their stability, proper assembly, and adherence to safety regulations. Duties include hazard detection, documenting findings, recommending corrections, and authorizing scaffolding before use.

Key Duties

• Perform routine assessments of installed scaffolding to verify structural soundness.
• Ensure fall protection and access systems are correctly implemented.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and safety personnel to maintain safe work environments.
• Support safety briefings focused on working at heights and confined spaces.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and activities.
• Monitor work zones proactively to prevent incidents.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with scaffolding inspection and safe erection methods.
• Proficiency in evaluating fall protection systems and working safely at heights.
• Familiarity with confined space safety procedures and entry protocols.
• Possession of relevant safety certifications such as STI or equivalent, alongside formal scaffolding or HSE training.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable national and industry safety standards.
• Strong observation, reporting, and documentation capabilities with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with site teams and address safety concerns.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in industrial, construction, or infrastructure sectors; technical or safety diplomas/degrees are beneficial.
