About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Scaffolding Foreman to lead and manage all scaffolding-related activities on large-scale EPC Oil & Gas projects. The role involves overseeing the safe installation, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolds, access platforms, and other temporary structures while ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity goals.

Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise daily scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling tasks following approved design specifications and load ratings.
- Verify the structural integrity of scaffold supports, bracing, tie-ins, and anchoring methods to maintain safety and stability.
- Ensure scaffolding setups accommodate requirements for mechanical, electrical, civil, insulation, and painting functions.
- Monitor project progress to meet schedule and quality expectations.
- Lead, coordinate, and direct scaffolders, helpers, riggers, and subcontractor staff, including work allocation and performance monitoring.
- Conduct safety briefings such as toolbox talks and enforce discipline and attendance.
- Mentor team members on industry best practices and safe operational procedures related to scaffolding.
- Implement and uphold HSE policies, including Permit-to-Work and personal protective equipment compliance.
- Perform risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on scaffolding tasks.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, British Standard EN 12811, and project-specific quality assurance and control requirements.
- Inspect scaffolding before use for defects or potential hazards and respond promptly to unsafe conditions.
- Manage scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment ensuring proper maintenance, storage, and minimal waste.
- Coordinate closely with engineers, construction supervisors, safety officers, and other trades to meet project objectives.
- Communicate daily updates, challenges, and resource needs to management.
- Maintain thorough documentation including daily activity reports, inspection logs, material usage tracking, and certification records.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience supervising scaffolding in Oil & Gas, EPC, or comparable industrial and large construction environments.
- Technical diploma in a relevant field.
- Comprehensive understanding of scaffolding designs, systems, standards, and safe erection procedures.
- Competent in interpreting scaffold drawings, load calculations, and layouts.
- Previous experience leading diverse scaffolding teams and managing subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices, with risk management proficiency.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding project deadlines.
