Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) located in Sydney, you will play a critical role in driving future growth by collaborating with the Demand Generation and Account Executive teams to qualify prospects and build a robust sales pipeline. You will engage with potential customers to identify valuable opportunities, manage early sales funnel activities effectively, and contribute to refining sales and demand generation processes. We seek individuals who are eager, intelligent, persistent, and team-oriented.

Onboarding and Development

Initially, you will participate in the Sales Development Associate program, an intensive onboarding process designed to accelerate your ability to perform as an SDR efficiently. Upon completion, ongoing development will be supported through the Sales Development Academy, enabling continuous career growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and prepare outreach content targeting high-value prospects in partnership with SDR and AE teams.
• Qualify marketing-generated leads, progressing qualified leads by scheduling meetings with sales representatives.
• Implement outbound sales strategies devised by the Marketing team.
• Initiate contact with prospective customers via cold calls or responding to inbound inquiries.
• Establish rapport with prospects through strategic questioning to assess interest and readiness for sales engagement.
• Follow up on interested potential customers who have not yet converted to sales opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records diligently, ensuring up-to-date activity and contact details, and support weekly sales reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing by providing insights and feedback to enhance targeting and messaging effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

• Proven record of exceptional performance or relevant prior success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
• Willing and able to participate onsite at the Stripe office at least three days per week.

Work Environment and Expectations

Employees at Stripe are expected to balance in-person collaboration with flexibility, with a minimum of 50% office presence monthly, although this can vary by team and role. This hybrid model supports team learning, user support, and effective workflow.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers an On Target Earnings (OTE) range from SGD 84,000 to SGD 126,000 annually, which includes base salary and sales commissions or bonuses. The exact compensation may vary depending on location, candidate experience, and other factors. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness stipends.
