Position Summary
The Sales Architect plays a crucial role on the Sales team, delivering pre-sales technical support for KnowBe4's products and overcoming any technical obstacles to customer adoption. This role involves understanding customer needs, positioning the company's solutions accordingly, and collaborating across departments including Technical Support, Revenue Development, and Product Management to address challenges and enhance offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert internally and externally, providing authoritative knowledge of KnowBe4 products.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and devise innovative product demonstrations.
- Lead discussions to provide product feedback and collaborate closely with Product Management.
- Design and deliver advanced, product-related training sessions.
- Work strategically alongside sales representatives to engage prospects, including senior corporate leadership and diverse technical teams.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional sales engineering initiatives across departments.
- Mentor junior sales engineers and develop enablement programs to enhance team skills and best practices.
- Resolve moderate to complex technical challenges independently and support other sales engineers as an escalation point.
- Engage in enterprise-level strategic sales conversations and advise senior leaders on sales tactics.
- Create playbooks for intricate sales scenarios combining technical insights with sales strategies.
- Develop and manage point-of-view evaluation plans and incorporate broader business and ROI considerations in client interactions.
- Clearly articulate competitive differentiators versus major competitors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical degree preferred.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
- Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel.
- Experience using web browsers like Chrome and Internet Explorer.
- Deep expertise in cybersecurity technologies and concepts.
- Demonstrated success in enterprise-level sales engagements.
- Strong leadership, mentoring capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, results-driven, and able to manage time efficiently.
- Proven analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of security awareness and email environments.
- Integrity, accountability, respect, and commitment to team collaboration.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
