Safety Planner

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable Safety Planner to join our Oil & Gas operations team based in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar. The role involves organizing and overseeing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance (PM) tasks to uphold rigorous safety protocols and foster a strong safety culture across the facilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and manage schedules for both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Collaborate closely with Safety Technicians to ensure timely completion of PM tasks.
• Track and monitor key performance indicators related to maintenance operations.
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation, particularly using SAP and other related business systems.
• Assist with safety audits and inspections to confirm site readiness and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a High School Certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum of 1 year experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Valid NEBOSH certification or an equivalent safety qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Planner or Scheduler.
• In-depth knowledge of Safety Technician roles and responsibilities.

Skills Required

• Proficiency with computers, particularly SAP and standard business software suites.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid grasp of preventive and corrective maintenance frameworks.
• Understanding of the operation and proper use of diverse safety equipment.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities conducive to teamwork.
• Flexible to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural workplace.
