Role Overview

As a Retail Store Manager based in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland, you will lead the store to thrive by motivating and developing your team, driving commercial success, and ensuring an engaging and welcoming shopping experience. Your responsibilities will span people management, store operations, standards, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and nurture your team to deliver outstanding customer service and meet store goals.
  • Act as a brand ambassador to embody The Works' values and inspire your team.
  • Take complete ownership of store performance, utilizing data insights to enhance results.
  • Maintain high standards in visual merchandising, inventory availability, and store presentation.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train staff to build an effective and committed team.
  • Manage schedules, payroll, and day-to-day operational tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, cash handling, and loss prevention requirements.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture prioritizing team development and care.
  • Collaborate with Area Managers, neighboring stores, and central teams to execute business initiatives and provide feedback.

  • Familiarity with retail systems, reporting tools, and point-of-sale technologies.
  • Experience overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Proficient with technology including back-office systems, EPoS tills, email, and video conferencing.

Work Conditions
