Job description
Overview
The Research Officer plays a key role in supporting the design, execution, and analysis of various research and evaluation initiatives. The aim is to empower evidence-driven decision-making processes that enhance program development and visitor experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting qualitative research including focus groups by developing research tools, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with different departments at ILMI to oversee research operations related to exhibitions, education programs, and marketing efforts.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations to guarantee the quality and relevance of research efforts, audience interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Investigate original content and gather audience insights to guide ILMI’s program planning and visitor engagement strategies.
- Generate periodic reports reflecting audience feedback and interaction metrics, recommending strategies for continual enhancement.
- Keep the research database and archives well-organized, current, and accurate for easy reference and study documentation.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, standard operating protocols, and instructions to ensure consistent and controlled operations.
- Participate in ongoing efforts to identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and operational methods focusing on best practices, cost efficiency, and productivity boosts.
- Champion compliance with relevant policies and procedures among team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in fields such as market research, economics, psychology, business administration, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- A master’s degree in market research or a related field is advantageous.
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience in managing educational programs, ideally within scientific or museum environments.
