Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Reporter based in Rajahmundry to collect news and information on APSSDC programs and activities through field visits, interviews, and document analysis. The role includes researching and verifying facts, composing clear and accurate news stories, and generating multimedia materials like photographs and short videos. The Reporter will closely work alongside the communications and program teams to deliver timely reports, prepare updates for both internal and external stakeholders, and uphold professional and ethical journalistic standards. The position requires adaptability to dynamic field conditions, meeting strict deadlines, and representing APSSDC in a professional manner during interactions with learners, partners, government officials, and community members.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Strong reporting and news writing capabilities ensuring precise and timely event coverage.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities to craft engaging content for wide-ranging audiences.
• Proficiency in multimedia content creation, including photo and video capture to enhance storytelling.
• Relevant experience in journalism, media, or communications, ideally focusing on education, skill development, or public sector topics.
• Skilled in conducting interviews, performing research and fact-checking, and maintaining journalistic integrity and neutrality.
• Excellent command of English; fluency in Telugu or other local languages is beneficial.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite and travel within the region as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
