About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Dispenser to work across various stores within a designated geographical area in the UK. As an integral member of the pharmacy team, you will support pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient pharmacy and healthcare services. Your role encompasses greeting customers, dispensing medications, advising patients, and ensuring safe medicine sales to support better health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions and ensure the secure supply of medicines, including managing orders, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
  • Offer medication advice to patients and escalate queries to the pharmacist when necessary.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the legal and safe dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Stay informed about innovations and comply with operational processes in the store.
  • Assist patients in managing prescriptions with reliable repeats to promote adherence and minimize waste.
  • Maintain clear communication with store teams to ensure consistent patient care.
  • Utilize evolving technology and systems designed to enhance traditional dispensing for increased patient safety and more patient interaction time.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or an equivalent certification.
  • Proven ability to travel flexibly across the assigned geographic area is essential.
  • Must have valid UK right to work documentation; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not available for this position.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

Additional Information

This position offers an hourly wage starting at £13.92 and can rise up to £16.64, depending on location within London. The role is limited to onsite work only within the UK; remote applications or candidates without proper qualifications and work authorization will not be considered. Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment checks relevant to their location, including DBS, PVG, or Access NI checks.
