Job description
Job Summary
The Receiver plays a critical role in managing the receiving dock by inspecting, verifying, and documenting all incoming materials and supplies. This role ensures accurate counting and quality checks of shipments while coordinating storage and maintaining inventory records. The position demands strict adherence to safety and quality standards to facilitate smooth product flow within the production process. The employee also supports team efforts and performs any additional duties as needed to support company operations.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Day shift: Monday to Friday, starting at 6 AM until work completion
- Starting hourly pay is $18

Key Responsibilities
- Observe all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions immediately
- Prepare work area daily, including safety checks on equipment and gathering required supplies
- Use personal protective equipment throughout the shift as required
- Meet productivity and quality accuracy standards set by the company and location
- Operate loading dock by opening doors, setting dock plates, and readying for product receipt
- Inspect incoming trailers and shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Receive and verify delivery quantities and quality against shipment documentation
- Conduct damage assessments and temperature checks on sensitive items, reporting issues when necessary
- Label and store incoming supplies per specifications, including data entry into inventory systems
- Assist with unloading and moving items using forklifts or pallet jacks, helping forklift operators when needed
- Perform warehouse housekeeping, keeping docks and trailers clean and organized
- Manage battery changes and equipment inspections for warehouse vehicles
- Complete all necessary end-of-shift paperwork and secure equipment
- Complete other tasks as assigned to support warehouse operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- 6 to 12 months experience in warehouse or distribution environments preferred
- Capability to work scheduled shifts and any required overtime
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during shifts
- Able to lift and stack products regularly weighing 10-35 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions including cooler, freezer, and dry environments
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening tests
