About the Role and Company

Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C++ applications primarily for real-time data feed processing.
- Automate all facets of the trading system through code development.
- Create and oversee tooling that supports pre-trade and post-trade processes.
- Design and implement systems for efficient data feed management.
- Program using C++, Python, and manage relational time-series databases such as kdb+.
- Lead individual projects while collaborating closely with team members and portfolio managers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical disciplines like mathematics, physics, or related areas.
- Possess at least one year of hands-on experience in performance-critical C++ software development.
- Demonstrate strong competence with C++ language features and data structures.
- Experience working with real-time Linux operating systems.
- Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Exhibit curiosity and critical thinking with a goal-oriented approach.
- Proven ability to translate ideas into reliable code.
- Programming proficiency in both Python and C++.
- Strong foundation in statistics and mathematical modeling techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in environments focused on performance and quality output.
Preferred Attributes
- Participation in national or international competitions in math, physics, or computer science highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Python, R programming languages, kdb+ databases, and Unix environments.
- Understanding of financial market data vendors and real-time market data systems.
