Quality Engineer - Test Automation and API Automation

Role Overview

Seeking a Quality Engineer with expertise in test automation, including API automation, to advance software quality through robust automation frameworks and AI-enhanced processes.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Requirements

• Design and develop automation test frameworks from the ground up.
• Apply quality assurance principles adhering to Test Pyramid and shift-left testing methodologies.
• Execute UI and API automation utilizing Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured; familiarity with Playwright is a plus.
• Operate software development tools such as Jenkins and GitLab effectively.
• Adopt an AI-first approach to increase automation efficiency and software quality.
• Conduct thorough code reviews ensuring adherence to high standards of quality and maintainability as outlined by the EK framework.
• Integrate and utilize AI-driven tools like Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude code, and apply prompt engineering techniques across various AI models within the EK ecosystem.
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams through clear and effective communication.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies including planning, case design, execution, defect management, and detailed test reporting.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (12+3 or equivalent).
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in software test automation and quality assurance.
