The company designs and supplies proprietary retaining wall systems and earth-related technologies, servicing both DOT and private civil engineering projects. Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct concrete sample testing to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Measure manufactured products, verify steel placement, check form alignment, oversee concrete placement, and perform post-production inspections.
  • Track and evaluate product strength, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Inspect a variety of FDOT-approved precast products.
  • Report findings to the Quality Control Supervisor for necessary corrections.
  • Record measurements and confirm accuracy of calculations.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain certifications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to FDOT requirements.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • At least three years of direct experience working with concrete, preferably in precast environments.
  • Possession of ACI Concrete Field Technician 1 certification; additional certifications such as ACI Aggregate Technician 1, ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, and NPCA PQS 1 are advantageous.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting FDOT and NPCA standards applicable to precast products.
  • Ability to understand and apply casting drawings.
  • Knowledge of basic geometry and precision in tape measurement readings.
  • Proficient in communicating corrective actions clearly and passing relevant certification exams.
  • Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Good command of English in written and verbal business communication.
  • Self-driven with flexibility to adapt work hours as required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work activities occur in office settings as well as indoor and outdoor manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to manage or coordinate personnel across multiple organizational levels.
  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Exposure to potentially distracting noise levels is possible within the facilities.
  • Use of prolonged personal protective equipment such as helmets, safety shoes, eye and hand protection, and hearing protection is mandatory.
