Role Overview

This full-time, remote position is for Python Developers who will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining HummingBird’s AI-enhanced talent platform. Key duties include creating and refining backend services and APIs, integrating with external ATS/VMS platforms, and managing databases with a focus on security and scalability. Daily tasks involve crafting clean, efficient Python code; applying object-oriented programming principles; troubleshooting technical challenges; and working collaboratively with teams such as product management, data science, and quality assurance. Additionally, developers will partake in code reviews, develop technical documentation, and contribute to improvements in platform performance, reliability, and overall quality.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in Python programming with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Experience developing backend web services, including API and microservices creation and maintenance.
• Practical knowledge of databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL technologies, schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Familiar with software development best practices such as version control systems, testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
• Experience with web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI and RESTful API design is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, as well as containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, is advantageous.
• Able to work autonomously in a remote setting, collaborate effectively across distributed teams, and communicate proficiently in English.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field, or possess comparable practical experience.
