Job Overview
We are seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our global team in Melbourne, working remotely with flexible arrangements. This role supports business growth by leading the creation of high-quality, compliant responses to client RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs across multiple business lines and regions. The specialist will manage proposal submissions in print, digital, and presentation formats while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of complex proposals from capture through to interview stages across various business lines and geographical areas.
- Organize and facilitate capture planning workshops and strategy sessions to craft winning pursuit strategies.
- Coach proposal teams for interview readiness, managing Q&A responses and presentation skills to enhance client engagement.
- Coordinate proposal quality assessments including Pink Team and Red Team reviews and incorporate lessons learned to improve outcomes.
- Advise on Go/No-Go decisions by providing strategic recommendations, ensuring adherence to authority delegation and legal standards.
- Analyze client feedback and internal debriefs to identify trends, capture lessons, and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as subject matter expert for designated clients, sectors or portfolios, collaborating with marketing and account teams to refine pursuit strategies and client-centric content.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal training programs, lead special assignments and guide team members, including direct reports.
- Assume overall accountability for proposal performance and successful execution of proposal initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bid and proposal management or related functions such as tender specialist, bid partner, or proposal partner.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills capable of producing compelling proposal content.
- Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple bids with competing deadlines, demonstrating excellent project management and organizational capabilities.
- Skill in conveying complex technical information succinctly and persuasively.
- Highly advantageous to have experience designing detailed content into engaging visual presentations.
