About the Role
Pat Robson & Company Ltd, a leading estate and letting agency in the North East, is seeking an organised and customer-oriented Property Manager to oversee a varied residential property portfolio based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The role involves building strong relationships with landlords and tenants, ensuring high maintenance standards, managing refurbishment projects, and supporting portfolio improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth including funding for industry-recognised Level 3 award training.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage property check-ins and check-outs adhering to company standards.
- Conduct scheduled property inspections to identify maintenance needs and enhancements.
- Maintain proactive, clear communication with landlords, tenants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and log necessary maintenance and repair work post-check-outs and inspections.
- Handle deposit processes including correspondence, releases, and dispute documentation.
- Prepare professional inspection reports for landlords after property visits.
- Ensure properties meet maintenance and presentation quality standards consistently.
- Inspect new properties taken under management to identify repair requirements and create inventories.
- Respond promptly to emergency property situations during and outside standard hours.
- Manage property licence applications and renewals efficiently.
- Create accurate floorplans when needed.
- Oversee refurbishment projects ensuring timely and quality completion within budgets.
- Support accounting and vacancy management processes.
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota approximately one week every six, covering weekday evenings until 9pm and weekend hours 9am-7pm.
- Maintain a professional image representing the company in client interactions, appointments, and external communications.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively within the team.
Candidate Profile
- Either currently working in the property sector aiming to advance in Property Management or recently graduated in a property-related degree.
- Proactive problem solver focused on improving property conditions.
- Highly organised with excellent skills in communication, time management, and prioritisation.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and remaining composed under pressure.
- Adaptable, willing to go beyond routine duties to deliver exceptional service.
- Self-motivated and autonomous, alongside strong teamwork abilities.
- Professional and approachable with confidence in interacting with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
- Detail-conscious with a keen eye for property upkeep and presentation quality.
- Dedicated to continuously enhancing the standard of managed properties.

Additional Information
- Location: Osborne Road, NE2 2AD, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, UK.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Salary Range: £30,000 to £34,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A valid full UK driving licence is mandatory.
- Participation in emergency duty rota as described above.
