Dbsorb Acoustic Solutions, established in Auckland in 2017, specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of high-performance acoustic products tailored for commercial interiors. The company produces customized panels, baffles, and battens designed for straightforward installation and easy upkeep. Being a small, close-knit team, each individual's contributions are acknowledged and valued.
Role Purpose
This position is responsible for ensuring smooth progression of customer projects from initial inquiry through design, approval, production, and delivery stages. The role emphasizes maintaining clear communication with customers and ensuring no details are overlooked throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide ongoing support for sales processes.
- Assist in creating quotations and proposals for clients.
- Follow up consistently with customers to obtain necessary information, decisions, and approvals.
- Manage processing of orders and verify purchase orders against quotations.
- Provide proactive updates to customers during the lifecycle of their projects.
- Coordinate projects efficiently from order receipt through to final delivery.
- Collect all essential information required before advancing project stages.
- Manage coordination of technical drawings and shop drawing approvals.
- Verify dimensions, quantities, colors, finishes, and delivery requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Act as liaison between customers, design teams, and production units.
- Ensure production receives detailed and accurate job information.
- Track deadlines associated with manufacturing and customer commitments.
- Organize freight, delivery logistics, and installation processes as necessary.
- Identify potential problems early and actively drive resolutions.
- Maintain project and task management systems to prevent reliance on individual memory.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret drawings and dimensions or a readiness to learn quickly.
- Proactive problem solver who investigates issues, follows up with relevant stakeholders, and proposes solutions instead of merely reporting problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently engage with customers and production teams.
- Commercial awareness and understanding.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity by identifying missing elements independently.
- Determined to complete tasks thoroughly.
- Willingness and ability to learn new design and software tools.
Desired Experience
- Background in commercial interiors or fitout projects.
- Experience working in manufacturing or production environments.
- Familiarity with CAD or Rhino software.
Work Hours and Location
The position is based onsite in Auckland, New Zealand, and may offer either full-time or flexible hours depending on the candidate. It involves collaboration between customer-facing teams and production departments.
Salary and Reporting
Salary is competitive and will be determined based on the applicant’s experience. The role reports directly to the CEOs.
