Job description
Job Overview
This position involves creating and maintaining detailed project schedules utilizing industry planning software in alignment with contract documents and work scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project based on contractual agreements, bill of quantities, and scope descriptions.
- Continuously update schedules reflecting actual progress, resource allocation, and site conditions, analyzing any discrepancies from the initial plan.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly lookahead schedules collaboratively with the operations team to ensure field readiness and guide work execution.
- Track and report vital schedule performance metrics including Planned versus Actual progress, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and adherence to the critical path.
- Detect schedule delays or deviations, perform root cause investigations, and propose corrective measures in coordination with all project participants.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Proficient use of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel software tools.
- Working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), resource allocation strategies, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Ability to conduct data analysis, reporting, and utilize digital/AI tools to enhance scheduling efficiency.
- Experience in documentation control, project performance monitoring, planning and risk management.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with keen attention to detail and accuracy in managing schedules.
