About the Role
MCG Asia is collaborating with a financial services startup to recruit a seasoned IT Project Manager responsible for overseeing key technology initiatives across the organization. This position suits an individual who excels in dynamic, fast-moving environments and possesses a strong history of managing comprehensive project lifecycles within sectors such as banking, insurance, or fintech.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from initial planning and execution to implementation and post-launch support.
- Establish clear project scope, define timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets to align with business objectives.
- Maintain active communication and coordination among various stakeholders including business units, senior management, and external partners.
- Detect potential risks, challenges, and dependencies early, and apply effective mitigation measures.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure project success.
- Monitor project metrics such as KPIs, milestones, and budget status, reporting progress regularly.
- Assist with change management and encourage user adoption of new systems.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is required.
- Between five and ten-plus years of experience managing IT projects, particularly within financial sectors like banking, insurance, or fintech.
- Documented success in delivering complex technology projects such as digital transformation programs, core banking systems, payment solutions, or data platform initiatives.
- In-depth familiarity with diverse project management frameworks including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
