Role Overview
The Project Coordinator will take charge of the Indian Labour Line (ILL) Project, managing its activities across multiple districts. Responsibilities include supporting and leading teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and enhancing the protection of unorganized sector workers’ rights through legal and advocacy efforts.
Indian Labour Line (ILL) Project
ILL is committed to defending the dignity and legal rights of unorganized sector workers by providing mediation, legal assistance, and advocacy to improve access to justice and enforcement of workers’ rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project activities over several districts.
- Provide leadership and support to project teams for efficient execution.
- Liaise with stakeholders, institutions, and community organizations involved in the project.
- Assist with legal and rights-based interventions targeting worker protections.
- Handle documentation, data management, reporting, and maintain effective management information systems.
- Monitor progress to ensure objectives are met on schedule.
- Represent the project in meetings and stakeholder discussions.
- Support advocacy initiatives aimed at strengthening labor rights.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational qualifications: B.L. / LL.B., M.S.W., or M.A. in Development Studies or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in senior roles involving project leadership.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of laws and rights pertinent to workers.
- Proficiency in English, Telugu, and Hindi communication.
- Competence in handling data, reporting, and MIS.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Capacity to work across multiple districts with diverse groups.
Location and Salary
Work location is Guntur with duties spanning various districts. The monthly compensation is ₹40,000 (CTC), with potential negotiation dependent on qualifications and experience.
