Role Overview

The Program Delivery Officer is responsible for enhancing community safety by administering approved intervention programs to offenders assessed as needing such programs. This position involves coordinating offender program access, delivering interventions based on evidence-based methodologies, and supporting case management to ensure offender rehabilitation aligns with operational and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in planning processes to facilitate timely and suitable offender access to intervention programs.
  • Prepare offenders for participation in general and sexual offending intervention programs.
  • Ensure program activities align with research-supported practices.
  • Conduct delivery of offender programs as outlined in operational plans.
  • Advise officers on the appropriateness of programs or alternative interventions.
  • Track offender progress throughout programs and provide relevant reports.
  • Adhere strictly to program management procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Identify and manage risks related to offender supervision.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of offender program research, legislative changes, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in offender case management activities as required.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates on offender program participation to associated sites for case management.
  • Monitor offender files and program adherence to ensure consistency and continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records and data for systems such as the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) and the Offender Programs Assessment Service (OPAS).
  • Administer and analyze offender assessments, documenting findings appropriately.
  • Contribute to both case management and sentence management activities.
  • Ensure precise and thorough preparation of intervention reports and program data for courts and related entities.
  • Deliver program impact reports to courts and parole boards regarding participants.
  • Advocate for the value and effectiveness of offender programs among agencies and support services.
  • Build and sustain cooperative relationships with service providers and the broader community to foster positive perceptions of offender programs.
