Production Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an organized and proactive Production Planner to act as the operational linchpin within our brewery, ensuring smooth production flow supported by accurate data and efficient systems. This role connects Production, Sales, Warehouse, and Finance teams by transforming sales forecasts into detailed production schedules and procuring high-quality raw materials and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine both short-term and long-term production plans based on sales demand, tank capacities, and customer requirements for brewing and packaging operations.
• Calculate requirements and procure all necessary raw ingredients such as hops, malt, yeast, fruit, and specialty flavors, alongside packaging materials including cans, lids, cartons, and kegs, ensuring uninterrupted production.
• Oversee purchase orders, manage vendor lead times, negotiate supplier pricing, and preemptively address supply chain challenges to avoid production delays.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels using our ERP system to reduce waste and avoid shortages by aligning stock with scheduled production runs.
• Utilize data analysis to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and spearhead continual improvements in planning processes and ERP systems.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in production planning, procurement, materials management, or supply chain roles, preferably within food, beverage, brewing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas, and practical experience with ERP/MRP systems; familiarity with Odoo is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, remarkable organizational abilities, and a keen attention to detail essential for thriving in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication skills fostering effective collaboration across multiple departments, along with the ability to juggle various priorities and ownership for outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
