Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily production planning to ensure manufacturing schedules are met on time.
- Oversee production activities to achieve targets related to output, quality, cost control, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate current manufacturing workflows to find productivity enhancement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Review engineering and fabrication drawings along with process requirements and customer specifications to support production.
- Develop and refine production methodologies, workflows, and shop floor operations.
- Ensure products comply with approved designs, quality standards, and specifications.
- Support quality control processes to minimize defects, rework, and product rejection.
- Generate and maintain detailed production, productivity, downtime, and improvement project reports.
- Analyze production performance metrics, including defect trends and operational efficiencies.
- Facilitate training programs for operators and floor personnel regarding process standards, safety, and productivity improvements.
- Stay informed about emerging manufacturing technologies, engineering advances, and process optimization techniques.
- Work in rotational shifts and be willing to put in extra hours during production emergencies or peak workload periods.
Candidate Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing operations, fabrication, sheet metal work, and steel products.
- Competency in reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TQM, and continuous process improvement.
Compensation
The salary range offered for this role is ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month.
