Job description
Role Overview
The Product Security Engineer role is embedded within the engineering team, emphasizing security as an integral part of the development process rather than a separate function. The engineer will participate in pre-release design reviews, actively test deployed applications, and develop preventative solutions to eliminate recurring security vulnerabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examining designs and source code to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Performing thorough testing of web-based applications and internal services.
- Creating detection mechanisms and reusable libraries aimed at eradicating specific classes of bugs.
Qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of web security principles.
- Proficiency in reading code written in at least one backend programming language.
- Candidates should be graduating in 2027 or possess up to two years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Attributes
- Proven participation in bug bounty programs.
- Experience programming in Go or Java is advantageous.
