At Hevo Data, we have developed a highly trusted data platform over the past eight years, handling over 100 billion raw, unfiltered events from more than 2,000 companies each month. Our focus is on building an advanced Intelligence Layer known as the Context Graph, which integrates signals across diverse data sources to proactively guide users before they have to seek answers.

Role Overview

You will lead a dedicated product pod, responsible for areas such as SaaS integrations, database connectors, or the Intelligence Layer depending on organizational priorities. You will manage the product backlog and fundamentally understand the purpose behind each development decision, reporting directly to the CEO. In the initial 3 to 6 months, you will strengthen the core product foundation, identify and resolve platform gaps, and sharpen the product's competitive edge. Subsequently, you will drive the future direction of the Intelligence Layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Exert technical leadership by actively participating and influencing system architecture decisions concerning data pipelines, change data capture (CDC), connectors, streaming, schema management, and failure handling.
• Engage directly and continuously with customers to comprehend their challenges firsthand, translating their needs into actionable product strategies without relying on intermediaries.
• Simplify complex technical concepts and system behaviors to make them accessible and clear to internal teams such as Support, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering, ensuring consistent and confident product representation to customers.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 6 to 8 years of product management experience, specifically with platform or infrastructure products in B2B environments.
• Strong technical foundation, including a computer science degree or equivalent engineering background, enabling deep understanding of system design, data architecture, API design, and engineering trade-offs.
• Proven track record of direct customer interaction involving requirement gathering, product presentations, and real-time handling of objections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of clearly explaining intricate systems to non-technical audiences without losing accuracy.
• High ownership mindset, characterized by proactive action, iterative development, and dependable follow-through on commitments.

• Identify and address the critical shortcomings in the product area, delivering improvements recognized by both customers and internal teams.
• Develop technical expertise sufficient to influence architectural decisions effectively.
• Become the principal liaison for understanding and advocating customer needs in your product domain.
• Enhance internal team capabilities in product knowledge and communication.
• Contribute to shaping Hevo's Intelligence Layer by integrating product vision with customer perspectives.
