Job description

About Madar Logistics Platform

Madar is a premier Saudi Arabian digital logistics platform owned by Elm, aimed at transforming transportation management across multiple sectors. It integrates shippers, carriers, and logistics partners into a single ecosystem that enhances visibility, efficiency, and automation. Madar facilitates seamless shipment processing, financial reconciliation, and live tracking, reshaping the logistics landscape in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished and motivated Product Manager to steer the Shipper Experience segment within Madar's digital logistics platform. The role involves full ownership of the product lifecycle for shipper functionalities, from shipment initiation and carrier pairing to live tracking, documentation, and payment processing. The objective is to empower businesses of all scales to transport goods swiftly, transparently, and confidently.

This role requires collaboration with product, technology, operations, and commercial units to identify and prioritize shipper pain points into actionable product developments that boost user adoption, retention, and revenue expansion. A keen interest in logistics and supply chain dynamics combined with a robust skill set in product discovery and implementation is essential for success in this fast-paced, ambiguous context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the shipper experience, aligning with Madar's broader strategic and commercial goals.
  • Lead in-depth discovery activities including conducting shipper interviews, and performing competitive and market research to validate problems and hypotheses.
  • Convert complex and unclear problem areas — like shipment booking difficulties, pricing clarity, or tracking issues — into definitive problem statements, measurable success criteria, and product direction.
  • Create business cases for new product initiatives by outlining expected impacts and evaluating risks and trade-offs to support prioritization.
  • Continuously analyze shipper behavior and operational data to uncover opportunities for enhancing activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Commercial, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Technology.
  • Work with commercial and business development teams to integrate insights from enterprise and mid-market shippers into the product roadmap.
  • Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs proactively and transparently to stakeholders.
  • Provide constructive feedback and suggest alternatives where initiatives diverge from strategic focus or expected outcomes.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new shipper accounts by ensuring product features align with their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 3 to 4 years of product management experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain technology, digital marketplaces, SaaS, or e-commerce.
  • Proven end-to-end product ownership, encompassing both discovery and hands-on project delivery alongside engineering teams.
  • Experience operating in uncertain and ambiguous scenarios such as startups, zero-to-one product development, or complex growth projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to make product decisions driven by data, user insights, and experimental methods.
  • Experience engaging with enterprise or mid-market B2B customers is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem definition and decision making particularly when information is limited.
  • Capability to balance strategic vision with detailed execution.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing abilities in technical and commercial settings; fluency in English is essential, Arabic is a strong benefit.
  • Well-versed in Agile development processes and modern product discovery practices.
  • Comfortable working with analytics tools, setting KPIs, and developing metric-based product roadmaps.
  • Pragmatic and outcome-focused approach with a high level of ownership and responsibility.
