Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker offers an excellent chance to develop practical skills within a fast-moving retail setting. The primary responsibility is to provide outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's core values, keeping the produce section well-organized and fully replenished, and aiding in the sale of fresh produce. Key Duties
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and clear zoning in the produce area to ensure it is always presentable for customers.
- Monitor produce quality by rotating items regularly and removing expired goods to guarantee freshness and high standards.
- Ensure all produce items are priced accurately and correctly labeled, following established procedures for ordering, clearance, adjustments, labeling, and signage.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including sanitary practices, cold chain management, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiry dates.
- Stock and replenish merchandise, apply necessary product protections, and organize display units such as modulars, shelf caps, and flex modulars to keep shelves fully stocked.
- Comply with health and safety policies to maintain a secure and clean workplace.
- Demonstrate flexibility by being available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support store operations and ensure dependable service.
Challenges in the Role
- Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight hours, ensuring energy and focus throughout shifts.
- Perform physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting inventory and equipment weighing up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out repetitive tasks including stocking, zoning, and organizing products consistently and with attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.05.
