Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute strategic procurement plans to improve supplier partnerships and enhance supply chain operations.
  • Scout and integrate new suppliers to broaden and reinforce the supplier network encouraging competition and innovation.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements ensuring advantageous terms related to price, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from receipt of purchase requests to issuance of purchase orders, adhering to organizational policies.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, initiating improvement programs to boost capabilities and service quality.
  • Maintain detailed records including price lists, product specifications, and supplier catalogs to facilitate sound purchasing choices.
  • Coordinate expediting activities ensuring prompt receipt of goods and resolution of pending orders.
  • Implement inventory management practices to balance optimal stock levels, reduce shortages, and control costs.
  • Promote effective communication and cooperation between internal teams and suppliers to resolve procurement-related concerns.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to procedural standards, supporting quality management audit trails.
  • Generate and analyze supplier performance metrics to inform continuous procurement improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are highly advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of procurement practices, supplier management, contract handling, and inventory control methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
