Job description
About Han & Dan Energy Services
Han & Dan Energy Services Limited is a Nigerian company specializing in industrial procurement and MRO supplies, delivering equipment, spare parts, components, consumables, and expert support to maintain operational efficiency across plants and production systems. Serving clients in the oil and gas, power, and various industrial sectors, the company prioritizes maintenance-critical procurement, focusing on precise timing and specifications. Instead of maintaining stock from a standard catalogue, they source items based on specific needs and collaborate with qualified engineering, fabrication, inspection, and installation partners. With locations in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and the United Kingdom, Han & Dan blends extensive local insight with access to global suppliers.
Role Overview
This full-time remote position calls for a Procurement Specialist responsible for managing the entire procurement lifecycle. The key duties include identifying procurement needs, generating and processing purchase orders, and coordinating the timely delivery of goods to meet project requirements. The role demands evaluating and selecting vendors, facilitating contract negotiations, monitoring supplier performance, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation. Analyzing pricing trends, ensuring compliance with company and client standards, and working closely with internal teams to align purchasing activities with operational priorities are integral to the position. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with logistics and finance departments to troubleshoot order-related issues, optimize procurement costs, and promote continuous improvements in procurement processes.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven expertise in procurement and purchase order management, encompassing the complete purchasing process, order handling, and tracking.
- Experience in supplier evaluation and contract negotiation to assess vendor capabilities, secure favorable terms, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Robust analytical skills to critically examine quotations, compare pricing options, evaluate risks, and support decision-making based on data.
- Prior experience within industrial sectors such as oil and gas, power, or MRO procurement is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational abilities to handle multiple concurrent procurement requests remotely.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling collaboration across technical, operational, and financial teams.
- Proficiency in procurement-related software, ERP platforms, and standard office applications including spreadsheets and document management tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
