Position Overview

We are hiring a Procurement Engineer with proven expertise in sourcing and purchasing finishing materials for construction and fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for supplier management, cost control, timely procurement, and ensuring compliance with project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for finishing materials like tiles, marble, gypsum, joinery, lighting, paint, glass, and FF&E items.
• Analyze BOQs, drawings, and specifications to determine material needs.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers both locally and internationally.
• Request and evaluate quotations, perform technical and commercial bid comparisons, and prepare Local Purchase Orders.
• Negotiate costs, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality criteria.
• Collaborate with site, design, and project teams for material approvals and submittals.
• Monitor deliveries to guarantee timely supply and prevent project delays.
• Maintain procurement documentation, cost reports, and a supplier database.
• Manage variation orders and urgent procurement demands.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• At least 2 years of procurement experience within construction or fit-out settings.
• Mandatory strong background in finishing materials procurement.
• Familiarity with the UAE supplier market and construction materials.
• Experience with BOQ analysis, ERP systems, and procurement software.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Understanding of UAE construction standards and procedures for material approvals.

Location: Al Bahiya, Abu Dhabi
Salary: Up to 7000 AED
