About the Role
Euro Mechanical seeks a Procurement Engineer to manage procurement processes for EPC Oil & Gas projects ensuring timely, cost-efficient, and standards-compliant acquisition of materials, equipment, and services aligned with project specifications, company policies, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update a comprehensive vendor database with detailed vendor and approved product/service information.
- Develop and support local ICV-certified vendors and international vendors with local operations.
- Cultivate and enhance vendor relationships across various business units.
- Source, assess, and negotiate procurement deals; prepare bid analyses, raise purchase orders, and track delivery timelines.
- Ensure all procured items meet the technical and end-user criteria.
- Collaborate with operations for accurate forecasting of required products and services.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to resolve material receipt issues, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Communicate with project managers and clients regarding procurement and project needs.
- Handle technical clarification submissions and follow-ups with project teams and clients.
- Support supplier evaluation and monitor performance improvements.
- Ensure adherence to Oil & Gas safety, quality, and HSE standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for operational procurement needs to prevent project delays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, E&I, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of pertinent experience in the UAE, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas equipment, materials of construction, industry specifications, and international standards.
