Process Controller - Beer Production

About the Role

We are inviting applications for the position of Process Controller to join the team at Diageo's Nangor Road site in Dublin, Ireland. This is a fixed term contract for two years, focusing on packaging operations within a new Guinness beer filling line established alongside Baileys Irish Cream production. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing packaging processes, operating equipment, ensuring rigorous quality and safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvements on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Operate beer intake, processing, and filling machinery effectively.
• Carry out packaging procedures including palletisation of products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform quality assurance checks on both components and finished goods.
• Maintain machinery through routine care, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks.
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing line performance and continuous process improvements.

Work Schedule

The production runs continuously 24/7 from Monday through Sunday, organized in two daily shifts: a front shift from 07:00 to 19:00 and a back shift from 19:00 to 07:00. Shift teams operate on a rotating 4-week cycle covering four teams.

Candidate Profile

We seek a dependable and motivated professional who consistently upholds safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to support continuous improvement. Experience within FMCG production environments, familiarity with machinery and packaging technologies, as well as IT proficiency, is highly desirable. Educational background in engineering or a science discipline is advantageous.

Applicants should also be physically capable of manual tasks such as lifting and handling materials.
