Role Overview
We are searching for a Pricing Manager to join our Commercial team based at our Auckland Airport office. This key position reports to the Group Commercial Manager and will own the management and strategic development of pricing and tariffs across PFL's network. The role involves collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Experience, regional offices, and agents within the Pacific to build competitive pricing strategies and optimise yield and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control customer tariffs and rates within the CargoWise freight management system.
- Design and implement pricing strategies to maximise revenue and optimise profitability.
- Analyze market trends to proactively identify pricing opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to prepare competitive tenders, commercial proposals, and presentations.
- Lead negotiations and discussions related to customer pricing where necessary.
- Coordinate with Customer Experience to ensure alignment between pricing, service delivery, and customer expectations.
- Support creation of integrated supply chain solutions across sea freight, air freight, forwarding, and logistics.
- Assist Sales, regional offices, and agents in securing new business prospects.
- Contribute towards trade budgeting, forecasting, revenue analysis, and quarterly commercial performance evaluation.
- Track trade performance, recommend improvements, and provide commercial insights to senior management.
- Represent PFL professionally in dealings with customers and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of five years' relevant experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics in similar commercial pricing roles.
- Background in commercial pricing, sales management, trade management, or related fields.
- Proven experience developing and managing pricing strategies and customer tariffs.
- Strong analytical aptitude with intermediate proficiency in Excel and the capacity to interpret business data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management abilities.
- Ability to foster trusted partnerships across diverse cultures and teams within the Pacific region.
- Experience working with CargoWise or similar freight management software is highly desirable.

- This is a permanent, full-time position located onsite at the Airport office on Richard Pearse Drive, Auckland.
