Job Overview
The Pricing Analyst will work closely with multiple departments to evaluate and refine pricing approaches, aiming to enhance revenue and profit margins for LOTTE Travel Retail Singapore. This position demands strong analytical abilities and competence in managing extensive datasets.
Primary Duties
- Create and update an internal database compiling historical pricing data obtained from pricing audits, vendor-provided raw pricing data, and direct price checks, both locally and abroad as needed.
- Gather, organize, and analyze pricing information, then deliver insights to senior management and stakeholders, supporting monthly vendor discussions on pricing strategies.
- Examine market trends, competitor pricing, and overall conditions ensuring compliance with the lowest price commitment policy at Singapore Changi Airport each month.
- Serve as the liaison with the landlord for monthly pricing submissions and develop analytical support for any exceptions to the Lowest Price Policy.
- Identify pricing gaps between Lotte Duty Free and other international airport retailers through detailed pricing analysis.
- Build and update pricing models intended to maximize product pricing effectiveness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to devise and execute pricing strategies.
- Track pricing results continuously and suggest necessary changes.
- Conduct regular monthly price evaluations and adjust as dictated by local and international market conditions.
- Occasionally travel within the region to perform physical price inspections on an as-needed basis.
- Offer assistance for pricing-related projects and initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience in pricing analysis or a comparable position.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Skilled in data analysis and building pricing models.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.
- High attention to detail and precision in work.
- Experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
