Position Overview

We are hiring a dedicated Porter for our affordable housing community, The Studio at ThinkEast, comprising 181 units in Austin, Texas. This full-time role is vital in upholding company standards by assisting maintenance, landscaping, and management teams to keep the property clean and orderly, ensuring outstanding residential experiences, especially first and last impressions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across property locations such as front walkways, sidewalks, decks, hallways, stairwells, office and lobby areas, patios, sport courts, pool areas and furniture, garages, pet parks, and other amenities at all times.
• Empty trash receptacles, clean containers, and transport waste to designated disposal zones.
• Clean vacant apartments and assist with unit turnovers as needed.
• Operate blowers for common areas and perform lawn care tasks like grass cutting and trimming.
• Prepare surfaces for and execute painting assignments.
• Conduct pressure cleaning of shared spaces.
• Ensure all inventory and equipment items are properly maintained and functional.
• Work outdoors and indoors adaptably, enduring varying weather conditions.
• Perform physical tasks requiring heavy lifting and ladder climbing where necessary.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience or an equivalent educational and experience combination.
• Experience in the apartment industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and general cleaning is essential.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and effective time management skills.
