About the Role
The Airmasters Digital Services & Applications team focuses on designing and supporting a resilient, data-centric software platform that enhances Airmasters' integrated building services and smart-building initiatives. This role involves crafting scalable enterprise systems, ensuring smooth data exchanges, and delivering outstanding web and mobile applications that enhance client productivity and compliance.
Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a senior DevOps & DevSecOps Engineer to spearhead the automation, deployment, security, database management, and cloud infrastructure operations of our enterprise platform. The position entails building robust CI/CD pipelines, administering PostgreSQL databases and AI/MCP integrations, securing optimal uptime and availability, upholding security standards, and accelerating deployment as our integrated services expand.
Responsibilities
- Automate, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Bicep or Terraform across Development, Testing, and Production environments.
- Manage and secure Azure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI platform components to integrate seamlessly with development workflows and large language model services.
- Monitor cloud usage and implement financial operations strategies to optimize Azure cloud expenditure.
- Perform database administration for Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server, conducting performance tuning, indexing, query analysis, and schema updates.
- Implement and verify automated backup systems, point-in-time recovery, high availability failover, and disaster recovery procedures for PostgreSQL databases.
- Design and enforce high uptime targets (99.9%+ SLA) for all Azure infrastructure, microservices, and databases.
- Deploy comprehensive monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and serve as lead for incident troubleshooting and root cause analyses.
- Develop and optimize YAML-based build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps for application and database deployments.
- Integrate security scanning (SAST/DAST), apply least-privilege access controls via Microsoft Entra ID, manage secrets with Azure Key Vault, and enforce Azure governance policies.
- Administer RabbitMQ clusters on-premises, manage their automation/configuration, and plan their migration or integration with Azure messaging services like Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ on AKS.
- Maintain containerized environments using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Perform Linux system administration tasks, including scripting with Bash for operational automation, server hardening, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years plus experience designing and managing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in managing Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server installations, including backup and recovery mechanisms.
- Experience deploying and operating Azure Model Context Protocol servers for AI tool integration.
- Proven ability to architect and maintain high availability systems with strict SLA adherence.
- Advanced skills in Azure DevOps pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform), and hybrid environment deployments.
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ cluster setup, troubleshooting, and migration strategies including Azure native messaging services.
- Proficiency in container orchestration with Docker and AKS, along with DevSecOps practices like secrets management and security automation.
- Strong Linux administration skills and Bash scripting expertise for automating deployments and maintenance tasks.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bash for platform automation.
- Prior experience in enterprise platform services and a relevant academic background in Computer Science.
