Primary Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee Oil Wharf and plant facilities following HPCL guidelines.
- Closely monitor vital plant parameters and execute scheduled field inspections.
- Supervise tanker loading and unloading operations along with shipping line pressure.
- Coordinate all tanker berthing and hose connection/disconnection activities.
- Keep accurate logs, monitoring records, and maintain shift handover documentation.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards like leaks or pressure faults.
- Perform gas testing procedures required for hot work, confined spaces, and excavation permits.
- Collect line samples as per the specified timetable.
- Continuous equipment monitoring with prompt reporting for necessary corrective measures.
- Collaborate effectively with HPCL officers, supervisors, and marine staff during routine and emergency scenarios.
- Ensure operations comply with safety, environmental, and reliability standards.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and adhere strictly to HPCL’s safety and security protocols.
- Follow all permit workflows, safety rules, and regulatory mandates.
Work Schedule and Training
- The role operates on a rotational 24x7 basis, with three shifts each lasting 8 hours.
- A mandatory one-week training session is provided before assuming responsibilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a B.Sc degree in Science or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
