About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer specialized in Electrical High Voltage Substation projects to join a site-based team in the UAE. This role involves detailed project schedule development, monitoring, and coordination to ensure efficient execution of electrical packages within substation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and sustain comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6.
- Develop baseline timelines for electrical work packages aligned with overall project milestones.
- Track the progress of projects and update schedules consistently.
- Perform in-depth critical path analysis to detect delays and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) analyses and detailed reports.
- Strategically plan resources including manpower, materials, and equipment allocation.
- Coordinate effectively with multiple departments, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and QA/QC teams.
- Develop look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and prepare progress summaries.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to project planning and scheduling.
- Provide support to project teams to meet objectives related to cost, timing, and quality.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven strong experience in High Voltage Substation projects.
- Fluency and expert-level skills in Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site within the UAE at various project locations.
- Open to candidates from India or the Middle East regions.
- Willingness to travel across project sites in the UAE as required.
- Engineering degree is preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination capabilities.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and requires physical presence at project sites in the UAE. The role is part of the high voltage substation construction industry with a focus on planning and execution control.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
